How does one deal with his own stupidity?

People that are intellectually superior seem to lack in social skills and tend to be more introverted. You mention that when you're in social situations you tend to clam up and don't know what to say. Very simply, people love to talk about themselves. Whenever you get the opportunity to meet new people, just listen to the conversation and ask questions about a specific topic someone mentioned. Then, listen. People will carry the conversation when they find a good ear. All you need to do is be yourself and if you are truly interested in the person, ask them more questions about what they're talking about. Soon they'll ask you questions about you and before you know it, time will fly and you'll forget about clamming up. You sound very intelligent with a wide array of interests, you should have no problem conversing and meeting people. It just takes a little practice. Good luck. G.
