Where to go on vacation in the Carribean?

Barbados, Negril, Punta Cana, Dr, and the Virgin Islands are lovely but I don't know that you can do it for $2000. Playa is less expensive because it's on the mainland and things can be shipped via truck. Everything costs more on an island because it all has to be shipped in via boat.
