Who do i choose??? please read and answer truthfully?

So i've been in a relationship with my bf for 15 months now, and i no that he would never hurt me and i see us havin a future together....but there is another guy who i used to REALLY like and stuff happened between us but we never actually got together....now he wants to be with me and says that he thinks he loves me. My bf is very obssesive and controllin he always wants me to be wiv him abut when we are together we neve really go out or anything. this ither guy is independant, has a job and a car. if i got wiv him i would probably hav more of a life. only problem is that he has a bad rep wiv girls. he told me that wiv him it would be different cz we kinda have histoy. could he really change???? i dno who to pick???? HELP
